Theory & Research

We incorporate Gardener's Multiple Intelligence theory and Reggio Emilia's approach towards childhood education.

Our curriculum revolves around the multiple intelligences that children are born with & focuses on enhancing the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of a child. Children are given opportunities to make choices, develop creative abilities and skills like problem solving, decision making and team work. The Curriculum identifies the knowledge skills & concepts important for childern to acquire like language, math, science and social studies. Childern are exposed to versatile artists in the fields of Art & Music from around the world.

Learning Environment

The Learning Environment is the structure of the classroom that sets the context for teaching and learning. Our classrooms are organized into indoor intrest areas such as Blocks, Dramatic Play.... to make learning fun and an enjoyable experience.

Teacher's Role

Teacher plays an active role in faciliting the growth of a child by creating objectives for each activity. Goals and objectives for various areas of development are planned based on the individual needs of the child.

Family's Role

At IIS Family and the school are connected in positive and respectful ways. Teachers and parents work hand in hand to help children to realize their potential.

Age cut off for Pre Activity Centre

• Toddler  >> 1.10 to 2.9 yrs
• Pre K     >> 2.10 to 3.9 yrs
• K1         >> 3.10 to 4.9 yrs
• K2         >> 4.10 to 5.9 yrs

 After K2, children will continue their education at the IIS Main Campus

The difference the Pre Activity Centre makes is specific emphasis on  listening skills and fine motor and gross motor development. Childern are also given exposure of different art form like waste and aboriginal art of Australia.
